Lighting has dramatically changed in the past decade, and budgets often do not take lighting systems into account, space is minimal, and speed is required. Optimizing every scrap of brightness while creating the proper mood and ambience is critical whether it’s for an interview, talking heads, corporate presentations, training, or education. Great lighting doesn’t need to come on a truck and certainly doesn’t need to be expensive.
This session not only discusses and demonstrates lighting that can be carried in an overhead-sized backpack; we’ll dive into an actual demonstration of how to use these lights for talking heads, and more. In this session, we'll look at ways to use lesser-known Red Giant tools (most of them in the Trapcode Suite) to create gorgeous looking visuals with a minimal amount of time and effort. The focus here will be on making motion graphics that feel professional, are extremely flexible, and yet take very little time (and brain power!) to pull off.
We will take a look at some case by case uses for Red Giant plugins as solutions and complements to the existing ideas. As an editor, motion graphic artist, or content creating producer you need to be able to do more to get the job done these days.
We will do an overview of techniques used in long-form and short-form content including logo blurs/swaps, track and clone or add texture to cover up flaws in a shot. Then craft stock effects like flares, abstract shapes, looping textures to make your footage pop.
